This is undoubtedly the best sushi I’ve ever eaten by far! It’s not just a fantastic restaurant, it’s also an experience if you decide to sit at the sushi bar. The atmosphere is very chill, cozy, and inviting. The staff and chefs at this place are incredible people as well! I cannot wait to go back!

The best vegetarian sushi I've ever had. I have encouraged everyone I know who likes sushi to go here and have revisited as frequently as I can afford to! I have tried every vegetarian roll option they make and every single one has a wonderfully balanced combination of flavors and textures.

IKKAI is probably the best sushi in the western suburbs. So fresh, so delicious! We love the small cozy atmosphere (though sometimes that does mean you have to wait for a table if you don’t make a reservation). The staff is very friendly and attentive! They even plated our sushi like a heart with an arrow through it!

Best sushi I have had in a long time. Top notch service, atmosphere, presentation, quality, and food. I enjoyed every moment sitting at the bar watching sushi rolls being created. Everyone working was professional and respectful towards each other. The Miso soup and fresh house salad were the perfect temperature. Even the water was chilled just right. The fatty tuna nigiri, delicately flecked with gold flakes, was mouthwatering and divine, mysteriously served inside a smoky cloche jar. Both the salmon and unagi were fresh and buttery. The white tuna roll was wholesome & savory with such satisfying texture. I especially loved how everything was so elegantly arranged using fun, artistic touches and materials. Well done!

It was an excellent week night dinner date, we sat at the bar and enjoyed watching the skilled sushi chefs work. The service was impeccable and each and every bite was decorated with care, they were meticulous about each plate's presentation and it shows. I would highly recommend coming here and would be back ourselves really soon to try the other rolls!

Even though the restaurant is very small and tables are close together, we very quickly settled in and enjoyed the atmosphere. We had a reservation on a Saturday night and glad we did, it was busy!! The service was great and the overall vibe was very chill and upscale. The sushi was BOMB. I’m vegan and they recommended a couple rolls (tree hugger & funyon) without the sauce and it was the best sushi I’ve ever had. Others at my table had sushi and looooved it. Their favorite was the yolo roll or the hangry. Decently priced for an upscale sushi joint. Highly recommend!!

Very fresh and delicious. Felt like they had an incredible attention to detail for each dish and the plating was 🔥. For only having a few servers the service was great and quick. Cozy on the inside and we felt lucky to get a walk in table, definitely recommend making a reservation before hand.
